Hey, Friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season with the ones you love! I can’t believe Christmas is over already. It seems we wait to long and then it passes too quickly! This week, I’ve been soaking up all the little moments. You know the ones, they seem ordinary and normal, but end up becoming special memories in our hearts. I’m learning to treasure those moments as they happen. I’m learning the importance of being intentional with my time, and the importance of being present. With the years flying by faster and faster, I don’t want to miss a single second.

I know there are tons of fun traditions that are practiced at New Years. Eating black-eyed peas for luck, or 12 white grapes for prosperity, or the American classic- toasting with champagne at the stroke of midnight. While all of these (and many more) are wonderful ways to welcome the year ahead, our New Years Eve is typically spent around a bonfire with close friends and family. However, I do have one or two rituals I practice the end of each year.

I like to reflect on all the blessings I’ve received over the previous 12 months, and set goals for the new year ahead. I don’t create New Years Resolutions for myself, but rather, I pick a word to encompass my vision for the upcoming year. For 2020, I chose the word “joy,” and let me tell you, despite all the bumps (and potholes… and sinkholes 🤪) in the road, I truly did see Joy manifest itself in everyday of every month. Most of the time, I found it in those ordinary, everyday, magical moments I’ve learned to covet so. This year, I’ve chosen the word, “hope,” and that’s what I pray for each of you, as well. A year of hope. I am so excited to see what God has in store for us in 2021.

Happy New Years to you and your family!

Xoxo,

Holly
